In Rivne, car of "Road control" journalist burned down

06.10.2015, 13:10

On the eve of October 5, in Rivne, unidentified individual set on fire a car “Opel Combo”, belonging to the 25-year-old activist of NGO “Road control” Serhiy Zeynalov, who is also a journalist for the NGO newspaper. It happened at 3 o'clock in the morning. As police identified in the preliminary investigation, the probable reason of fire was arson. Zeynalov says the arson is related to his professional activities as journalist, as lately he received several threats urging him to leave the city. The journalist investigated two cases that could be the ones that caused the threats and the arson. The first one relates to a bribe allegedly taken by local prosecutor, Andriy Tarhoniy, and the second one is that the journalist has the video on which the head of Kuznetsovska road inspection demanded a bribe in amount of 41 hryvnias.
