In Poltava region, female journalist had her nose broken in village council assembly hall

On March 23, in the premises of Butenkika village council, journalist of local newspaper  сільської “Khroniky Hromad”, Olha Hunzhel, was attacked by village council employee. The journalist was diagnosed with nose bones fracture and head injury. Member of village council Pavlo Hunzhel reported IMI about this. According to Pavlo Hunzhel, his wife, Olga Hunzhel, journalist of local newspaper “Khroniky Hromad”, obstructed her journalist activities and to record communication of village council member  and village council employees. Pavlo Hunzhel requested some documents, in particular, contracts for some works that had to be done, and the employees of the council refused. His wife, the journalist, was video recording this. After this, some employees of the village council attacked the female journalist and started to punch her in her face. They dropped the camera, and the battery fell out of it. The doctor later diagnose a fracture of bones. Pavlo Hunzhel added that police was called to the site, and registered this incident.
