In Poltava region, city mayor attacked journalist of local TV channel

On January 29, in the town of Karlivka, Poltavska oblast, local mayor Oleksander Nakinechnyi attacked the journalist of the regional TV company "Media Center "Terra", and damaged her camera. This news was published on the website of the Ministry of Informational Policy of Ukraine.

The journalist was supposed to prepare a report on the town council’s third session. The mayor attacked her right before the session, in public, yelling, "You do not have a license! You will not record here!" The Ministry of Informational Policy sent a request to police to launch a criminal case against the mayor. After the incident, the journalist was taken to the hospital in an ambulance, and is currently on sick leave.
