In Pecherskyi court in Kyiv, journalists of "Irpin-TV" were threatened with physical violence

01.03.2016, 21:57

On February 27 in Kyiv, during the consideration in Pecherskyi district court of Kyiv of the case regarding the alleged bribe received by the land commission secretary and Irpin city council member Lavrentiy Kukhaleishvili, the journalist of the online media outlet “Irpin-TV” Kateryna Tsybulina received threats from unidentified individuals, who called themselves representatives of the "Aidar" batallion. These people arrived to the court, as they said, to support Kukhaleishvili. “Detector media” reports this, referring to information from “Irpin-TV”. One more person, who introduced herself as Vlada Sichova from "Aidar", also threatened the journalists of the channel and interrupted the judge. The TV channel made an official request to law enforcement agencies to protect journalist Tsybulina and her family from the physical violence she was threatened with.
