06.08.2015, 10:19

In Pavlohrad on August 4, during the pronouncement of judgement of Pavlohrad inter-rayon court in the case on murder of 27-year-old Yuilia Martyanenko, the defendant, Yana Mayorova, who was not restrained, tried to damage the camera of the filming crew of the TV channel 34, and impeded the professional activities of other journalists. This is the report of the journalist of the local newspaper "TN-Express", Anna Tretyak, posted on her Facebook page.

In her comment for the Institute of Mass Information, the journalist mentioned that the defendant's troublesome behavior in relation to journalists lasted for the entire seven months of the litigation. Mayorova and her accomplice Ihor Tsymbal, with the help of the defendant's attorney, Savchenko, were soliciting full ban on video recording and photography in the court. The judge Serhiy Timchenko allowed to make the video record only for pronouncement of the judgment.

Tsymbal refused to get to the court room for an hour and a half, and all this time his accomplice was swearing and threatening journalists in the room, and also threatened to murder the only witness, Kristina Yerzunova, the friend of the murdered woman.

In the fall of 2014, Ihor Tsymbal and Yana Mayorova beat Yulia Martyanenko to death to take her cell phone and 30 hryvnias. Ihor Tsymbal was sentenced to 15 years in prison, Yana Mayorova - to 4.5 years.
