In Odeska oblast, unidentified men attacked investigative journalist

In Ivanivka (Odeska oblast), on the eve of May 11 unidentified men attacked the journalist of the TV News of Ivanivskyi rayon and correspondent of the information agency “Trasa E-95” Victor Buts. This was reported on the website of “Trasa E-95”.

Two unidentified men around 2 a.m. entered over the fence the yard of the house, in which Buts lives with his family. He heard strange sounds and came out. Here he was attacked and beaten by the unidentified men.

According to the information agency, the journalist is currently in the surgery department of the rayon hospital. He has a concussion.

The law enforcement agency is looking for the perpetrators, who attacked Buts, as well as trying to establish their motives.

The journalist himself links the attack to his professional activity but has no intention of quitting it.

The agency points out that Victor Buts has authored numerous high-profile investigations – including about abuse of power by the previous leaders of Ivanivskyi rayon.
