Odeska Oblast State Administration notes that people in a number of populated localities near the border do not have access to Ukrainian TV channels, radio stations and cell phone networks providers.
This was announced by the vice-head of Odeska oblast state administration Serhiy Koleboshyn, Ukrainska Pravda reports, with a reference to Ukrainian News.
“What can we talk about if today, while we were on the road from Reni to Ismail, our FM tuner in the car failed to receive even one Ukrainian radio station. Scanningconstantly, we found only stations from Moldova or Romania”, he said.
Koleboshyn also said that, for example, in Tarutynskyi rayon (Odeska oblast) the signal strength of Ukrainian mobile phone network providers is so low that the local residents are forced to use SIM-cards of foreign providers.
