In Odeska oblast, journalist died in traffic accident

In Odeska oblast, journalist of the media outlet “Strana.ua” Anastasia Rafal died in a traffic accident, Ukrinform reports. Valeria Ivashkina, the deceased’s colleague and a witness to the traffic accident, wrote about it on her Facebook page. “Together with Stasia Rafal, Katia Shumylo and my grandma we were going to Odesa… We dosed off. Suddenly, through sleep I feel abrupt braking and a hit. We skid. I grabbed for my grandma – God bless, she was ok. I look to the right – and there is nothing there. Because of the hit, Stasia together with her seat got thrown to the road”, the journalist wrote. She also wrote how she was trying to help Anastasia but by the time the ambulance arrived the doctors pronounced Anastasia dead. The other injured woman, Kateryna Shunylo, was taken to Liubashivska Hospital, where she got stitches. The women were traveling from Kyiv to Odesa on a ‘Blablacar’ shuttle bus.
