In Odesa, pro-Russian activists attacked journalists of First City TV channel and Seventh TV channel
On April 10, in Odesa pro-Russian activists attacked journalists of the First City TV channel and “Seventh Cnannel”, which were broadcasting live the confrontation between pro-Russian activists and supporters of the united Ukraine near Promenada Hotel on Fontanska Road. Supporters of the united Ukraine gathered there not to let out Oleg Tsariov, a presidential candidate, who was supposed to participate in the pro-Russian rally downtown, but he managed to leave, and about 500 pro-Russian activists arrived, wearing bullet-proof vests and armed with bats, truncheons and chains. They attacked EuroMaidan rally participants, beat several of them and tried to smash the bus that was taking away EuroMaidan female supporters. The pro-Russian activists demanded that the journalists stopped filming and even tried to force them to stop. They were trying to take away the video camera, pushing the journalists and threatening them with physical violence. Nobody got seriously hurt.
