In Odesa, police officer threatened journalist during rally
In Odesa, on March 17, a correspondent of the online media outlet “Prestupnosti.Net” Radmela Aliyeva received threats from a police officer who demanded that she stopped filming him. This was reported on the website of “Prestupnosti.Net”.
The indicent took place during a rally, which was happening on Deribasivska Street against raising public transportation fares. The correspondent was doing her job: making photos of the people participating in the rally and also police officers, who were protecting the order.
One of the officers, lieutenant Rubtsov, started to express his disagreement with her filming him as he did not want to be filming when on duty. He forbade her from filming him and threatened that the journalist might lose her thumb.
