In Odesa, journalists of "Dumska TV" were impeded when they tried to take footage

01.06.2017, 15:39

On May 31, in Odesa, the bartender of one of cafés near the seaside was impeding the filming crew of the TV channel “Dumska TV”, who tried to take footage for the story about squatting the public beach land by the tents (that are usually used to sell something). This was reported by IMI representative in Odeska oblast.

The channel’s filming crew arrived to the arc near at the entrance to the beach “Langeron” to get some footage for their TV program about local tents and kiosks and how they work near the seaside.

In one of the cafés nearby, the channel’s journalist Diana Khrushchova asked about their license for entrepreneurial activities. As the employees of the café were interviewed about their work, one of them became aggressive and started to push the journalist and yell at the cameraman Yevhen Voitenko, swearing and offending them loudly. The journalist called the police, and when the police patrol arrived, the aggressor apologized. Currently, the journalists consider whether they should file an official complaint about this case.
