30.07.2017, 17:59
In Mykolayiv, drivers of city shuttles attacked journalist Yuriy Kovalenko, when he was filming for his journalist investigation. This was reported by the vice-head of Mykolayiv city council Anton Turupalov. “On the eve of the executive committee revising the city shuttle tariffs in Mykolayiv, drivers of the suburban city shuttle route 163, attacked TV channel 2+2’s journalist Yuriy Kovalenko during his journalist investigation”, Turupalov posted on his Facebook page. The city council representative encouraged the law enforcement agencies to investigate the conflict. The journalist himself in his comment to the media outlet 0512 explained that a driver of a city shuttle was creating a dangerous situation on the road. According to him, he tried to get a comment on this from the city shuttle driver but he began to act aggressively. The media outlet points out that the driver tried to take away the journalist’s camera and ID. The driver was joined by another driver, who tried twisting the journalist’s arms. Later, the attacker was detained by police.
