In Mukachevo, journalist threatened as he recorded fact of "merry-go-round voting" at the polling station

In Mukachevo (Transcarpathian region), a radio journalist who was an observer in the election informed the police that he was threatened with physical violence because he revealed some violations discovered during the election, as the Main drectorate of the National police in the Transcarpathian region reported on its website. "Yesterday, on July 21, at about 4:00 p.m., a call came to 102 special line of the Mukachevo police from a 49-year-old man, who told to be a radio journalist. The applicant stated that he had observed a violation of the electoral law, so-called “merry-go-round-voting” at the polling. After that, he got threatens of physical violence by phone, " the police report told. Based on this complaint, the Mukachevo police started criminal proceedings under Part 1, Article 345-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (threats or violence against the Journalist).
