In Mariupol, journalist was released from polling station only after police intervention
On November 29 in Mariupol, Donetska oblast, journalist Pavlo Ostrovskyi was released from polling station No.142333 only after an intervention of police operatives. The journalist, activist of the movement “Strong Communities of Donetska oblast”, reported this to "Novyny Donbasu" media outlet.
At first, the members of the election commission did not allow him to leave the polling station, as they claimed that after 8 p.m. until all ballots are counted, no one is allowed to leave the polling station. After the journalist told the present policeman that unless he was released he would file a complaint, he was allowed to leave, yet the security guard at the gate refused to open the gate for him. The journalist had to call police to be released, and filed his complaint afterwards.
