In Lviv, sect members obstruct Espresso.TV filming crew

24.06.2015, 18:06

On June 23 in Lviv, members of the unregistered religious organization “Ukrainian True Greek Catholic Church” (so-called sect of “Dognalites”) was obstructing the filming crew of the TV channel Espresso.TV in conduct video recording. This information was published on the channel's website.

The incident took place near the building of Lviv oblast SBU, picketed by “Dognalites” with a demand to release the detained sect leaders. On June 23, the Security Service of Ukraine deported from Ukraine three leaders of the unregistered organization, who were citizens of Slovakia. Two more leaders, who had no passports, were detained for identification. The Security Service of Ukraine stated that the church leaders published separatist appeals, and instigated religious intolerance to other denominations.

When the filming crew was recording the protests, the so-called "security" of the sect attacked the journalists. Police had to stop the aggression, as it was reported in the story of the channel.
