Smashed window. Photo – Liudmyla Yavorska’ Facebook page In Lutsk, the journalist of the online media outlet “Volyn24” Liudmyla Yavorska reported a window smashed in the apartment she shares with her family. The incident took place on August 14. She shared this information on her Facebook page and confirmed it to the IMI representative in Volynska oblast. Liudmyla Yavorska told IMI the person throwing stones at her window was a boy as young as 6 years old. He was told to do so by young men on bicycles as seen by her neighbors. When the window in the apartment’s kitchen was smashed, Yavorska was at home together with her husband, Kostiantyn Yavorsky, who is a journalist, too, and their daughter. At the same time, the journalist did not say to the IMI representative, what she believes this attack is linked to. For the context, this is not the first incident with the “Volyn24” journalists. This summer, the editor-in-chief of “Volyn24” Yuriy Rychuk received threats in text messages and phone calls.
