In Lutsk, city council deputy told mayor city newspaper praises mayor too much

28.08.2015, 12:41

Deputy of Lutsk city council Andriy Osipov says that the communal newspaper “Lutskyi Zamok” ("Lutsk Castle") publishes too many materials praising the city mayor, Mykola Romaniuk. The deputy told about this at a session of the city council on August 27. According to Osipov, the newspaper works like a Soviet newspaper "in Brezhnev times".

Mykola Romaniuk answered that he does not intervene in the editorial policy of the newspaper as he has no official powers to do so.
