In Luhansk, separatists took hostage journalist's father and demanded to tell them where his son is

14.05.2014, 13:27

On May 12, in Luhansk around 8 p.m. masked representatives of the self-proclaimed «Donetsk People's Republic» (DPR) and the so-called Army of Southern East stormed into the house of the parents of the journalist Vsevolod Fylymonenko and forced his father, Kostiantyn Fylymonenko, 67, to leave with them. They took him to the captured building of the

Security Service of Ukraine, where for a long time questioned him about his son's activities and about his cooperation with MP Oleh Liashko. The separatists tried to learn, where Vsevolod Fylymonenko is, as he is currently in the hiding. The journalist contacted his father's kidnappers, and they offered to return him in exchange for Oleh Liashko. Later, at 11 p.m., the separatists released Kostiantyn Fylymonenko.
