In Kryvyi Rih, city council’s TV channel "Rudana" has been off air for five days already

Since 3 p.m. October 3,in the city of Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovska oblast, the TV channel  «Rudana», owned by Kryvyi Rih city council, has been off air.

According to the vice-director of the communal TV and Radio Company «Rudana» Oleksander Temchur, the channel is not being broadcast analogue but is available in the digital broadcasting and in the cable networks. They do submit the signal to the transmission center but the transmitter is not operating. The channel disappeared from the air on the weekend.  

It is five days already that «Rudana» is trying to get an explanation of this issue from the Broadcasting, Radiocommunications & Television Concern (BRT) but the Concern gives no answer. As a matter of fact, their transmitter has been switched off with no explanation.

The director of the Concern’s Dnipropetrovsk branch Kyrylo Danylov says there are some technical issues on the TV tower in Kryvyi Rih and that a team of masters was sent up the tower to check on the transmitter.
