In Kremenchuh, writer got explosives under his door
In Kremenchuh, Poltavska oblast, on May 11, the writer Ihor Moiseyenko found under the door of his apartment an explosive device. This was reported by the local edition ‘Telegraf’.
Moiseyenko found a box around 2 p.m., a fishing line was tied to the doorknob. He reported the suspicious object to the police, as the website of the Chief Department of the National Police in Poltavska oblast reported. The explosives unit and police arrived to the site at once. The explosives unit specialists uncovered in the package an item that looked like a self-made explosive device, which was removed and defused.
Based on this fact, the police started a criminal investigation under part 1 Article 129 (Murder threat) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This article carries a penalty of up to two years in prison.
Ihor Moiseyenko was awarded the Bohdan Khmelnytskyi first literature and art award of the Ministry of Defense.
