In Kovel police drove journalist of Avers TV out at meeting of Poroshenko with electors

On March 14th, Nataliya Polishchuk, journalist for TV channel “Avers” complained the policemen had forced her out of the meeting of the president and candidate for the presidency Petro Poroshenko with electors in Kovel, as to TV Avers. She was covering the meeting with electorate of Poroshenko in Kovel. “We have all the same rights, Polishchuk was saying , as the policemen dorve her out. Yu stand here and me, I stand here. I cannot go out with you. As I have right to stay here, I did not violate anything”, she told. Polishchuk referred to be a journalist and in conformity to the Constitution as a press person she can attend any meeting in Ukraine, she added. The head of communication service of the National police in Volynska region, Viktor Gomol said that Polishchuk had refused to pass through the metal detector. “She refused to be checked by the metal detector. The policemen acted in conformity to the Law of Ukraine “On protection of government bodies of Ukraine and officials”, he said. IMI cound not contact Nataliya Piolishchuk, she was unavailable for comments.
