In Kirovohradska oblast, car with candidates and photographer was stoned

On October 26, the photographer of The New York Times Mikhail Fridman was attacked, when he was in the same car with Parliamentary candidates. This information comes from IMI regional correspondent.

The incident took place in the village of Subotivka, Znamyanskyi rayon, Kirovohradska oblast.

The photographer was in the same car with MP candidates Mustafa Nayem, Svitlana Zalishchuk, and Serhiy Leshchenko. The car was attacked by four men, who were throwing stones at it, breaking windows and damaging the body of the car.

The attack took place after the journalists and the candidates witnessed violation (bribing the electors) at one of the polling stations in Znamyanskyi rayon.
