In Kirovohrad region newspapers published 25 commissioned stories and PR

Last week, in Kirovohrad region 10 reginal media outlets published 22 stories with attributes of propaganda and 3 stories that call to support one of candidadtes for the presidency, as to OPORA, civic network’s web-site. The most of stories were published in favour of the incumbent president Petro Poroshenko and the candidate for the presidency Yulia Tymoshenko. One story of the kind was identified each one in favour of Oleksander Shevchenko, Oleh Lyashko and Oleksander Vilkul. There was one story with features of PR against Yulia Tymoshenko. “The stories in mass media on registered candidates for the presidency which are to incite voters to vote for or against some candidadte for the presidency is election propaganda. Such propaganda has to be marked as political advertisement in conformity to paragraph 1st of article 58, paragraph 10 of the article 64 of the Law “On Election of the President of Ukraine” and hes to be paid exclusively from the election funds oif the candidadte for the presidency. Even the propaganda against some candidadte has to be paid from the election funds”, as Evheniy Hurnytsky, ombudsman of OPORA in Kirovohradska region told.
