In Kherson, city council commission forwarded to police journalist's complaint about conflict of journalist and council member

The Standing committee for the issues of mandates, deputy activities, ethics, legality, law and order, human rights and communications with NGOs of Kherson city council decided to forward the complaint by journalist Kostiantyn Ryzhenko concerning his conflict with council member Vitaliy Bohdanov, because consideration of this complaint is not within the competence of the standing committee. The essence of the conflict was that the council member who is the head of committee for anti-corruption policy pushed the journalist out his office. The journalist filed a complaint to the city council commission demanding an apology.

The decision in question was approved by the commission on May 20, and this fact was reported to IMI by Kostiantyn Ryzhenko, journalist and chief editor of newspaper “Khersonsla Miska Hazeta”.
