In Kharkiv region, unidentified in car tried to knock journalist down

On January 13, in the settlement of Zolochiv of Kharkivska oblast unidentified men in a car tried to knock down the editor-in-chief and journalist of the media outlet “Zoria” Vasyl Miroshnyk when he was working. The journalist sustained a trauma to his leg. Vasyl Miroshnyk reported this himself to the IMI local representative.

The incident took place around 8 p.m. Vasyl Miroshnyk went on an editorial assignment to a crime scene where he got attacked. According to him, the editorial office had been receiving calls from concerned citizens about criminals stealing irrigation systems, and he went to the site after another one of such calls. He saw the car described by the caller and began making photos. The men he was making photos of approached him and asked to ignore them, and he explained that he was a journalist after what they got into their car and tried to knock him down. The journalist  jumped out of their way but still got hit in the leg. He had to seek medical attention. Police was summoned and began an investigation.
