On February 2, in Ivano-Frankivsk, local activists did not admit freelancer Ruslan Kotsaba for public discussion of the city development plan, in spite of him presenting his journalist ID issued by the Independent Media Trade Union.
Kotsaba called police to the location, but police could not help to get him in. Kotsaba filed a complaint to the police on obstruction to journalist activities. People who were not letting him in continued to insist that he was "not a journalist".
