In Donetsk, terrorists abducted NTN camera operator
On August 2, in Donetsk terrorists of the so-called “Donetsk People’s Republic” took hostage the camera operator of the TV channel NTN Oleksander Osadchy. This was reported by the NTN journalist Serhiy Vendin on his Facebook page. According to Vendin, Osadchy left house on August 2 and did not return home. He was last seen by his neighbour when he was walking his dog. After that, he, most probably, went for a bicycle ride and took with him his passport and iPhone.
On August 4, around 2 p.m. armed representatives of the Donetsk People’s Republic came to Osadchy’s wife and asked for the power cable for iPhone. To her questions, where her husband was and in what state, they answered that everything was ok and he would come home soon.
In his comment for IMI, Vendin said they have no information as to where exactly Oleksander in being held but he believes that Osadchy was taken by the terrorists accidentally.
The NTN TV channel has submitted an official missing person report to the law enforcement agencies.
