In Donetsk, separatists threatened Voice of America journalists
On May 23, in Donetsk separatists threatened the ‘Voice of America’ journalists at a voting station in School No.17. According to the ‘Voice of America’ website, the ‘Voice of America’ correspondents arrived to the voting station in 10 minutes after the separatists brought there a letter with instructions as to prohibition of elections on the territory of the so-called Donetsk republic. In a couple of minutes, separatists armed with pistols ad knives stormed the voting station and demanded that journalists stop filming. The filming crew still filmed some of the confrontation between the separatists and the election committee but left to keep the equipment and the footage.
