In Donetsk, pro-Russian activists detained two journalists near Oblast State Administration

13.05.2014, 12:20

On April 14, in Donetsk, pro-Russian activists detained the journalists of the Informational Agency “Poriad z vamy" (“Near you”)  Oleksa Yaroslavtsev with his colleague Mykola Myrnyi for filming the events near the Oblast State Administration.  They both had badges “Press”. The masked activists led them into the building yelling “Shame!” “Provocation!” “Banderites!” (one of the journalists only spoke Ukrainian). Later the separatist told the journalists that they do not trust them because journalists write bad things about them, but in the end they let the journalists go, yet still took the memory card from the camera (they wanted the whole camera first). The journalists are safe and in good health now.
