In Dnipropetrovska oblast, "Tochka Opory" journalists were not allowed for district electoral committee meeting
On October 26, the district electoral committee No.37 (Dnipropetrovska oblast, Kryvorizkyi rayon) conducted the meeting, which it did not allow the journalist and observers to attend. In particular, Oleh Shcherbak, who arrived to the location with a mobile group of observers from the Civil Network “Opora”.
The reason for the visit was that on October 24, the district received defective bulletins, with the numbers of only one sub-district, where in fact there are 146 sub-districts there, and each is supposed to have different numbers on bulletins. According to the law, such bulletins are supposed to be replaced, and the journalists wanted to check if they indeed were. The defective bulletins, however, were not replaced. The meeting of the committee was conducted behind the closed doors, without journalists and observers, giving as excuse the absence of quorum and article 94. The journalists intended to file complaint and register this violation.
