In Dnipropetrovsk, staff of Metallurgic Academy would not let journalist film fire

10.06.2015, 23:55

On June 9, in Dnipropetrovsk, representatives of the National Metallurgic Academy were preventing the journalist of the website 056.ua Volodymyr Buh from filming firefighters putting out the fire on the Academy’s territory. Buh reported this to IMI personally.

The staff members would prohibit him from making photos or recording a video as he allegedly was on the territory of the Academy illegally while both firefighters and the police allowed him inside the cordon no questions asked. According to Buh, he introduced himself to the Academy staff and showed his journalist ID, while they refused to tell him their names. They insisted it was a secure facility and threatened to call police and SBU.
