14.06.2019, 15:21
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, unknown persons attacked volunteers and stole about 2 thousand copies of the Silska Gazeta (rural newspaper), as Ukrainian novyny reported. According to the editor-in-chief of the publication, on June 12 at about 12 o'clock a car with volunteers moving on a highway near the village of Znamenivka of the Novomoskovsk district was stopped by unknown persons. They threatened to use force and seized all copies of the newspaper. They demanded to cease further distributing of the newspaper. On the newspaper's Facebook page, they said that there were eight unknown men of strong physique armed with guns. Such assault would be related to the publications dealing with the candidate for parliamentary election Vadym Nesterenko. The Novomoskovsk police instituted criminal proceeding under article 187 (2) of the Criminal Code (robbery, committed by a group of persons upon prior conspiracy).
