In Dnipropetrovsk, police refused to open case on obstruction to journalist, instead simply warning the violator

01.03.2016, 21:31

Babushkinskyi district police station (in Dnipropetrovsk city), based on the results of their inspection, did not open a criminal case based on the fact of obstruction to the journalist of the newspaper “Ukraina Evropeyska” Denys Zenin. Instead, they officially warned the person, who was obstructing the journalist. This was an official response of the mentioned police station officials to Denys Zenin.

The incident in question took place on February 21, when a man wearing a parking attendant uniform tried to pry off newspapers from the journalist, and tried to stop the recording by the journalist during the journalist's coverage of a police raid of parking spots in the city center.
