In Dnipropetrovsk, journalists were not allowed to interview “Anti-Maidan” representative

15.07.2014, 12:34

On July 13, in Dnipropetrovsk, during a meeting near the Opera Theatre in the city center, patriotic rally members obstructed the recording of pro-Russian activist interview the journalists of TV channels «Channel 11» and TRC «Region» wanted to take, as the recording shows.

As it is seen on the record, when the journalists of Dnipropetrovsk TV channels were recording the sound bite, several rally members approached them and asked, «Why are you interviewing the coordinator of Anti-Maidan? The person who works for separatists? The person who works for Moscow?». In response to the journalists saying that they work on the editorial assignment, rally members insisted: «Go to her home and interview her there!».

After the people chanting «Shame! Go away!», the woman was parted from the journalists, and soon green disinfectant was poured on her. Police tried to protect the woman and to stop the activists. The journalists consider filing a complaint to the police because of this incident.
