In Dnipro web-based edition “Open” targeted with DDoS-attacks

On March 31st, the web-based edition “Open” (opentv.media) in Dnipro informed of being targeted with a strong DDoS-attack, as they reported onits web-site. The cyber attack caused disruption in functionning of web-site. The first attack occurred at 8 a.m., but was not the single one and lasted for several time. The journalists told to IMI correspondent in Dnipropetrovsk region, they related these attacks to their professional activity, but are not sure who namely was interested in. “Naturally, it is related to our journalistic activity, as soon as the election committees started working, our web-site was blocked”, as Vyacheslav Poyezdnik, editor in chief of the edition told.
