In Crimea, Russian enforcers conduct search in house of former general director of ATR
On December 9, a search was conducted by Russian enforcers in the house of the former director general of the Crimean Tatar channel ATR, Elzara Isliamova. The source of this information is a Facebook entry by journalist Lilia Budzhurova. The search lasted an hour and a half, they were searching for documents that could confirm that people affiliated with Lenur Isliamov were engaged into some criminal activities. An attorney was allowed to be present during the search, and he had no objections to the form of the search or the officers who conducted it. The attorney claims that in the search did not reveal anything of interest for the investigators. It was conducted under the criminal case against Lenur Isliamov, initiator of the blockade of Crimea and owner of ATR channel.
For the background, after the channel ATR moved to Kyiv, part of the journalists who stayed in Crimea created an independent studio "Kara Deniz Production", and Elzara Isliamova became its general director.
