The collegium of the “Supreme Court of Crimea” at the session on March 17 decided to ban photo- and video recording at the trial on claim for banning the activities of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar People in the Crimean peninsula, QHA reports. The formal ground for the ban is "maintaining order in the court room".
Leaders of the Crimean Tatar people warn that ban on Mejlis activities by a Russian court can open possibilities for criminal prosecution of thousands of representatives of the native people of Crimea.
