In Chernihivska oblast state administration, journalist of UNN was denied access to information

12.04.2016, 12:47

The department of health care of Chernihivska oblast state administration denied the journalist of information agency UNN satisfying his information request related to financing private clinic services with the government funds, the agency website reports.

On April 25, the agency published the news titled “Private hospital in Chernihiv demands government to pay them 52.8 mln hryvnias for hemodialysis” about the private clinic “Frezenius Medical care Ukraine” demanding from the Oblast State Administration 52.8 million hryvnias for providing to patients hemodialysis services.

The journalists of UNN were interested in this information and requested the details from the relevant oblast administration department, yet their request was denied. The agency considers this denial baseless, a form of impediment to journalists, and intends to sue the administration.
