In Bohodukhiv, police officers attacked Hromadske Kharkiv journalists

05.10.2015, 22:48

On October 2, Kharkiv activists conducted a picket near an oil refinery in Bohodukhiv (LLC "Bohodukhiv oil base"). They demanded to stop refining oil, which was, to their opinion, illegal, and demanded the director of the refinery to negotiate with them. Police soon appeared in seven cars and started detaining activists. They manhandled the activists and the journalists, who documented the events. The police officers did not answer the journalist's questions like "why are activists being detained?", and refused to introduce themselves. Instead, they silently stopped the recording and detained the journalists. In an hour, the journalists were released.
