In Belarus, Euronews replaced with Russian TV channel
Euronews has stopped broadcasting in Belarus since April 12. This was reported by Interfax-Ukraine with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Information of Belarus.
"On April 12, 2021, the Ministry of Information took out the foreign TV program Euronews from the list of foreign mass media that have received permission to broadcast in the Republic of Belarus," the statement read.
The ministry clarified that the previously issued broadcasting permit in the country has expired.
“At the same time, "Pobeda", a TV program about the Great Patriotic War of Russian production will start broadcasting in the Republic of Belarus since today. This is a large-scale project of the" Digital Telefamily "of the First Channel, created for the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War," the agency said.
Euronews is a 24-hour news channel that has been broadcasting since 1993. Its founder is the European Broadcasting Union.
