In Belarus, blogger Tikhanovsky arrested for another 15 days
In Belarus, a court arrested for another 15 days the famous blogger Serhiy Tikhanovsky, whose wife is running for president. This was reported by Ukrinform with reference to TUT.BY.
"According to the court decision, Serhiy Tikhanovsky got 15 days of arrest," the statement read.
According to the protocol, the blogger allegedly violated the law on mass events, namely took part in an unauthorized picket by the city executive committee on May 27 in Mogilev while collecting signatures for presidential candidate Svitlana Tikhanovska.
The trial began behind schedule. The hearing was held open-doors, but took place in a small hall, but about 30 people wanted to attend it, they were to support Tikhanovsky. They persuaded the police officer and the judge to hold a hearing in a larger court room, so that Tikhanovsky would "see that he was not alone." The policeman replied that the court "had no technical capacity" for it.
