In Anti-Terrorist Operation zone, Serbian journalist disappeared – Association of Serbian journalists

04.08.2014, 23:58

On August 1, Serbian journalist Serhiy Belous went missing in the combat zone in Ukraine.  This was reported by the press service of the Independent Media Trade Union with reference to the president of the Association of Serbian journalists Dragan Belic.

The 23-y.o. Belous works for the weekly ‘Pecat’.

According to the Pecat’s editor-in-chief Milorad Vucelic, their correspondent was detained together with his friend by the National Guard in the Eastern Ukraine near the town of Amvrosiyivka (Donetska oblast). There was no information about them since then.

Serhiy Belous was born in Ukraine, but moved to Serbia a year ago.

The Independent Media Trade Union will ask the National Guard to clarify the situation.
