According to the newspaper website, the indicent took place during the event of the self-proclaimed Crimean government on taking down fences on the Southern coast of Crimea.

The newspaper’s filming crew recorded the key moments of the event and stepped aside from the main group of officials and journalists to discuss some moments. They were overheard by the head of a Community Defense group, who was wearing a Berkut uniform; he demanded to explanations, what ‘these suspicious persons’ were doing there. His group surrounded the journalists and demanded to give them the camera, but later agreed to take only the memory card with the footage.
