Impound lot owner in Zhytomyr threatens to kill ’20 Khvylyn’ journalist
The owner of a private territory, on which due to unknown reasons an impound lot of the state enforcement service is located, was chasing the journalist of Zhytomyr newspaper 20 Khvylyn Vladyslav Puchych while threatening to kill him.
A local dweller Liudmyla Borovska came to the 20 Khvylyn editorial office for help as despite the court decision the officers of court would not release her car to her demanding a bribe.
The car owner together with the 20 Khvylyn journalists went to the impound lot where her car was kept. They were met by thuggish-looking men who turned out to be officers of court.
One of these men started to push the journalists and other people present and insisted he would talk only to the car owner alone. The number plates were taken off the car and the impound lot owner demanded that she pays UAH 700.
A similar case happened in October, when this very officer of court Andriy Rudiuk assaulted the lawyer Yulia Demchuk and her client because of the client’s car.
The 20 Khvylyn journalist was trying to learn the surname of the man who did not want any publicity for this case, but he just assaulted the journalist. The assailant, whose name was Sergiy Kravchuk, turned out to be a representative of the private entrepreneur V.Sh. Nyva, who due to unknown reasons is in charge of the impound lot of the state enforcement service.
An investigation and operational group was summoned, which received the statement of impeding journalist activities and threats.
