IMC says Odesa channel "Reporter" violates professional and ethical standards

18.03.2016, 14:45

The Independent Media Council, after reviewing the records of the program “Reporter.Studio” with the leader of the movement “Anti-war” Viktoria Shylova as a guest broadcast by the TV channel “Reporter” (Odesa), states that the channel violated professional and ethical journalist standards, and also its own editorial charter, and also violated the standards on covering information. At the same time, the legislation per se was not actually violated by the program, the IMC session resolved on March 16. The reason for the review was a complaint from the NGO "Oberih Odesa" requesting an expert opinion on the broadcast program's legality.

The record of the program can be found at the link.
