Honcharenko demands data on Bihus.Info donors, budget, salaries after an investigation about him

Following the release of a Bihus.Info investigation into European Solidarity MP Oleksiy Honcharenko, the official reached out to the project's team demanding answers regarding the media outlet's budget, its donors, and the salaries of its employees, Honcharenko reported in a Telegram post.

The officials says he needs the information to write to the media outlet's donors and ask whether they had approved the “investigation” about the PACE Committee President and PACE Bureau member – that is, about Oleksiy Honcharenko himself.

“Because it seems to me that they did not. And from what I heard, journalism standards are as follows: when we are investigating someone, we ask the party in question for a comment. And we use appropriate vocabulary. From what I know about European bureaucracy, they will be very surprised at what their money is being spent on,” wrote Honcharenko.
