Holding "Multimedia Invest Group" claims authorities pressure it

The holding "Multimedia Invest Group" informs that on May 22, the office of the newspaper "Vesti" has been blocked by law enforcement officers. In its statement, the holding claims that in the recent days it has been experiencing pressure from governmental agencies, what puts in jeopardy operation of the all-Ukrainian newspaper "Vesti", the website Vesti.ua, the magazine "Vesti.Reporter", the TV channel UBR, and Radio Vesti.

On May 20, accounts of one of the holding companies were blocked, and in the morning on May 22, a group of armed men forced an entry to the editorial office of the newspaper "Vesti" without presenting any warrants and blocked the building with its staff inside.
