Head of Zhytomyr branch of NPTU quits due to materials that could be covert advertisement

23.08.2017, 15:24
Director of executive branch of the National Public TV and Radio company of Ukraine “Zhytomyr regional directorate” Vasyl Holovetskyi quit voluntarily. The reason was the covert advertisement materials at the channels discovered during monitoring. This was reported to the website “Public broadcasting” by the NPTV board member Mykola Chernotytskyi, who is reponsible for working with branches. “The monitoring exposed problems with the quality of content. At the channel “Zhytomyr” there were documents that were likely covert advertisement. Considering the fact that Vasyl Holovetskyi worked at the branch for quite a long time, he was offered an option to quit voluntarily. He agreed and he did quit. This is the message for all branch directors. The broadcasts are being monitored, and action will be taken based on the monitoring. The public broadcaster is first of all a high quality and absence of covert advertisement. Vasyl Holovetskyi is the first leader hit by the “train” of Public TV, which is picking up its tempo”, Chernotytskyi explained. The acting director is now, according to him, Oksana Kuchmenko, former vice director for financial issues.
