Head of Zakarpatska Oblast State Administration claims MP Viktor Baloha beat director general of his TV channel

The Head of Zakarpatska State Oblast Administration Hennadiy Moskal said that on Jun 23 in Mukachevo local TV studio of the TV company “M-studio” was visited by its owner, MP Viktor Baloha, who started a scandal there and beat the company’s director general Volodymyr Shubets. This was reported on Moskal's website.

As Moskal claims, Baloha was enraged that the director does not air enough materials about him and his son Andriy, and attacked the director with his fists.

The director Shubets, according to Moskal,  loyal to the Baloha clan for many years, wrote a written complaint to the police about the assault, but is too scared to file it. Also, Moskal claims that several journalists refuse to work after witnessing the scent.

The local IMI representative called the editor of the TV channel "M-studio" Viktoria Rosul confirmed that "one of the co-founders of the channel" tried to intervene into the channel's editorial policy, and police is currently investigating the case, yet she did not specify, who the co-owner was.

As to Baloha himself, he claims that he came to the channel to discuss "business issues" and had a tense conversation with Mr.Shubets, yet he denies threatening or attacking the director. As to accusations, he claims his enemies are trying to turn the situation against him.

The police now investigates this case as "hooliganism".
