Head of National Police in Chernivetska oblast took under control cases of obstruction to journalists

02.08.2017, 14:49
Three cases on obstruction to professional activities of journalists in Chernivetska oblast are under control of Serhiy Pilihrim, the head of the Chief department of the National Police in the oblast. This was in Pilihrim’s response to the joint statement of oblast organizations NUJU and Independent Media Trade Union of Ukraine (IMTUU) to law enforcement agencies of Chernivetska oblast, molbuk.ua reports. The letter points out that the investigation departments of the Chief Department of the National Police in Chernivetska oblast perform pre-trial investigations of criminal cases mentioned in the trade unions’ statement. Pilihrim took under his personal control the cases of obstruction to journalists in Chernivetska oblast. The three cases in point are based on complaints over obstruction filed by Halyna Yeremitsa and by the journalists of the TV channel “Chernivetskyi Promin” Oleksandr Dokien and Roman Pylatyk and over threats filed by the “Chernivetskyi Promin” photo correspondent  Ihor Konstantyniuk.
